Browser install
Adds Just Canvass to your home screen so it opens in one tap. Optional — the browser version is the same app. Use Chrome on Android or Safari on iPhone; other browsers can't install it.
Android
Chrome
- Open app.justcanvass.ca in Chrome.
- Tap the three dots at the top right.
- Tap Install (or Add to Home screen) and confirm.
iPhone & iPad
Safari, iOS 18 and newer
- Open app.justcanvass.ca in Safari.
- Tap the three dots, then Share.
- Tap More, then Add to Home Screen.
- Turn on Open as Web App if you see it, then tap Add.
Older iPhones
Safari, iOS 12 to 17
- Open app.justcanvass.ca in Safari.
- Tap the Share button at the bottom — the square with an arrow.
- Tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
Questions
Is it on the App Store?
Coming soon. Until then the Safari home-screen install gives you the same app with the same icon.
Do I have to install it?
No. Open app.justcanvass.ca and you're in. Installing only puts the icon on your home screen.
Do volunteers need their own account?
Yes. Accounts are invite-only — your campaign sends invites from the Users screen. Install first if you like; sign in once the invite arrives.
Does it cost volunteers anything?
No. Campaigns pay one flat fee that includes unlimited users.
Why can't I find the install option?
Wrong browser, almost always. iPhone needs Safari; Android needs Chrome. Still nothing? Check your home screen — it may already be installed.
