Get the Just Canvass app
Browser install
Adds Just Canvass to your home screen so it opens in one tap. You don't have to, though. The browser version is the same app. To install, use Chrome on Android or Safari on iPhone. Other browsers can't do it.
Chrome
- Open app.justcanvass.ca in Chrome.
- Tap the three dots at the top right.
- Tap Install (or Add to Home screen) and confirm.
Safari, iOS 18 and newer
- Open app.justcanvass.ca in Safari.
- Tap the three dots, then Share.
- Tap More, then Add to Home Screen.
- Turn on Open as Web App if you see it, then tap Add.
Safari, iOS 12 to 17
- Open app.justcanvass.ca in Safari.
- Tap the Share button at the bottom. It looks like a square with an arrow pointing up.
- Tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
Questions
Is it on the App Store?
Yes. Download it from the App Store for iPhone and iPad. The Safari home-screen install works too if you'd rather not download anything.
Do I have to install it?
No. Open app.justcanvass.ca and you're in. Installing only puts the icon on your home screen.
Do volunteers need their own account?
Yes. Accounts are by invite only, so your campaign sends invites from the Users screen. You can install the app first and sign in once your invite arrives.
Does it cost volunteers anything?
No. Campaigns pay one flat fee that includes unlimited users.
Why can't I find the install option?
It's almost always the browser. iPhone needs Safari and Android needs Chrome. Still nothing? Check your home screen. It might already be installed.
